Dentist Visit

Oh Madi, we went to the dentist today and got good news and bad news. The good news is you were great and you really enjoy going to get your teeth cleaned. Dr. Woods even said you were such a sweet little lady and you were doing an excellent job brushing! Ok...now for the update on the extra tooth....
You have an extra tooth (growing in upside down) right between your 2 front permanent teeth. This extra tooth has pushed your left front permanent tooth until it is completely sideways! So....Dr. Woods had us take your x-ray over to an oral surgeon today to look at it and decide to...
a- go ahead and pull your 2 front baby teeth and remove the extra tooth in hopes the your permanent left tooth will self correct itself.....OR.....
b- wait until you loose your front baby teeth then remove the extra tooth and get braces really early... which you will be getting eventually...
Dr. Phillips (the oral surgeon) is going to call us tomorrow and give us his opinion.
I was so proud of you today! You were such a trooper at the dentist!
By the way...your daddy had an extra tooth in the same place! :)
