Today was the 100th day of school at Pre-K! Madi's class dressed up like they were 100 years old. They could also bring 100 items to count. Madi took 100 suckers and we made a gumball machine with 100 gumballs! Mrs. Kelly, the awesome art teacher at our school made the gumball machine for us :)The pic before school is my favorite...it is typical Madi. She really looks 100 years old with her sassy in her mouth!

Bedtime Prayer
Madi's bedtime prayer tonight...
"Dear Jesus, thank you for my family, thank you for the snow we are going to get tomorrow and thank you for my puppy. Amen."
I love how she begins each night thanking Jesus for her family. That is always what she says first every night. Tonight she followed by telling me that me and daddy are her very best friends. What a sweet girl she is! :)

My Sweet Dad
My sweet daddy would have been 70 years old tomorrow. My daddy was one of the sweetest men I have ever met. This is one of my favorite pictures of he and I. I love the look on his face looking at me. I can just see him looking at our Madi that same way. He would have adored her!

"My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person, he believed in me."
- Jim Valvano
"Certain is it that there is no kind of affection so purely angelic as of a father to a daughter. In love to our wives there is desire; to our sons, ambition; but to our daughters there is something which there are no words to express."
- Joseph Addison

Daddy's Airplane
Miss Winter Wonderland Pageant
Today Madi was in her first pageant. It was the Miss Winter Wonderland Pageant that the Jonesboro High School Cheerleaders put on. It was low key and "Sunday Best" dress. I have to admit I was a little nervous...just nervous that Madi might be sad...don't know if my nerves can handle many pageants in our future! Madi won 2nd runner up and she was so excited. She got a sash and a trophy! We are so proud of you sweet girl!

First snow day 2011!
Snow Day!
Waiting and Hoping For Snow!
We are waiting and hoping for snow tonight! While we watched and waited we started working on some Valentines! Madi loves any type of craft so I got out some supplies and she went to town. I love that this year she is writing on them! She also went to bed with a spoon under her pillow because we heard it brings the snow. She had been in bed for about 20 minutes and in that 20 minutes it started snowing hard and nearly covered the ground so John went and got her up to see! I hope she isn't disappointed if she tries this theory every night! :)
Can you tell this Valentine is for Daddy?
Sleeping with a spoon under her pillow...we hear this will bring snow!
